Memcached in Shared Website Hosting
Memcached is available as an upgrade with each shared website hosting package that we’re offering and if you wish to use it for any script-based site that you host on our avant-garde cloud website hosting platform, you will be able to enable it in a few simple steps via your Hepsia Control Panel. In the meantime, you will be given the option to upgrade two different features – the instances and the system memory. The first one is related to the number of the Internet sites that can use the Memcached data caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several websites, you can order a number of instances. The second one refers to the maximum amount of memory that the system will be permitted to use to cache info, so for multiple websites (or for one frequently visited site), you’d better order more memory for better results. The memory is available in increments of 16 MB and more memory can be ordered at any time. With the Memcached caching system, any script-powered Internet site hosted on our cloud servers will open faster than the speed of light.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Hosting
You can get the Memcached caching system as an upgrade with each of our Linux semi-dedicated packages and since it works with any script-powered app, you can use it for any Internet site that you host on our servers, no matter what application you have used – Joomla™, WordPress or Mambo, a custom-built app, etc. You can request the upgrade via the respective section of the Hepsia Control Panel from which you administer your semi-dedicated server account, and you can choose two different features – the number of instances and the amount of memory that they will use. In simple terms, these things indicate how many websites will use the Memcached caching system and how much memory the system will be able to use to cache your information. The two features are offered separately for more flexibility and one instance does not come with a particular amount of system memory. You can use the Memcached system with any type of website and both you and the site visitors will swiftly distinguish the difference in the overall performance.
